Winter on its way

Right on cue, the first snow started earlier this week covering the ground with a layer on white, changing the landscape and sending me slipping and sliding to work across the icy paths. Something I had forgotten about and regretted wearing shoes with little grip. Below is the most treacherous section, although much of it had melted by the time I took this photo today.
