Goldfields Break

Bit of a belated post - took a break in the Goldfields of Victoria for a weekend with my girlfriend. Was a really good weekend, stayed on a farm in Carisbrook Got to visit my uncle in Maryborough and went to the Pyrenees mountain ranges in western Victoria. I remember when I was younger going to the Grampian ranges and looking across to these ranges, wanting to climb them, so this was a good opportunity. Pictured left is a photo of the view, unfortunately not towards the Grampians. Also visited a couple of wineries in the region. Good to get away and restore our sanity at this time of year.

Footy for foreigners

Now the World Cup is over, it's time to revert to the established game.
After a work function with a plentiful amount of Heineken it was off with my colleagues to a what would haven been a rather boring match at the MCG between Richmond and Melbourne - not so for us.
Try explaining to a Brazillian and a Swede why you get a point for missing!
